"A surprisingly good aggregator" -Brad DeLong, Grasping Reality
"I not only visit the site every day (or more), I use it every day, and there are no more than half a dozen aggregator sites where I would say that." -Tyler Cowen, Marginal Revolution
MacroDigest aggregates essential economic commentary, analysis and news from around the web. We use a proprietary algorithm to cluster blog and news content on topics (ie Brexit, negative interest rates), and our human editors aim to highlight the most insightful content via the headlines on the MacroDigest website and on Twitter.
The MacroDigest Story
The idea for MacroDigest came from Garrick Hileman while he was a PhD student trying (unsuccessfully) to stay on top of the deluge of economic news and debate with RSS readers and Twitter.
In 2013 MacroDigest won the London School of Economics Entrepreneur of the Year award, and MacroDigest has received funding from LSE Learning Technology and Innovation and the Centre for Macroeconomics.
Our team of editors and software developers are based around the world. MacroDigest is still very much a project-in-progress and we are always looking for people who share our passion about making economic debate and news easier to follow and increasing financial/economic literacy.
